Day# 11....The VA WAY..........The Zombie.......I do not watch sick and perverted TV shows filled with blood and guts and killings, there is enough of that in the real world such as what I am going to tell tonight. Imagine if you will, You get woken up at 6AM as I already mentioned how the VA treats the Veterans in the past. But this specific patient is a totally separate than all of the others. When I mean separated please read carefully. This patient was so dangerous he could not be around any other people. He lived literally in a HALL WAY. His day was Breakfast , medications, then sit in a chair for the rest of the day. No contact with anyone except the Nurse that was to guard him. That was his life for YEARS! no I wish I could go into more detail but I can not until one day when I get into a court and testify. I ask you does this sound humane? This man had no recreation, no TV, No contact with others. No outside time what so ever. When he was to go to a treatment or a XRAY, MRI, there were always two people to escort him and hoping there wasn't going to be a bad situation during transport and at the offices. I can not tell you how hard it was to watch this man to sit in a chair day after day wasting away, no exercise, no mind stimulation, the only contact was with the assigned nurse who watched him. I and most nurse's asked why is he here and not in a forensic facility. The answer is buried within the VA system. Now I ask you how does this sound to you? Would you like to be treated like this REMEMBER this was for YEARS! He would still be there but he died. Again I understand very few people would care about this Veteran or any other Vet as well. But remember the VETERAN is why you have a choice to care or not. Think about that.
